October 3rd, 2022 Completed OR Survey July 4th, 2019 February 23rd, 2017 April 8th, 2016 November 13th, 2012 November 11th, 2010 January 26th, 2009 I was privileged to be at Runnymede during the first few years of the school and enjoyed being part of a wonderful close-knit community which Arthur (and Julia) created. Arthur's knowledge, enthusiasm and enjoyment made Runnymede into the school it is today. He played a huge part in my life - and thousands of others. He will be missed. My sincere condolences to Julia, Manolo, Charles and Paloma. February 20th, 2007 August 26th, 2004 March 22nd, 2004 Hello from one of the old boys (and one of the very first pupils in '67!). Lots of happy memories looking through these pages and some sad ones as well - Sinisa was a close friend and played bass in Runnymede's first rock 'n' roll band with David Broza, myself and others. Un abrazo a todos. June 19th, 2009 Attended Old Runnymedians' Dinner in Madrid (at Hotel Eurobuilding) January 26th, 2009 After my father, Arthur Powell was the only other 'adult' person to discipline me or otherwise 'get angry' with me while a young adolescent. It is with much regret that I never found the opportunity to go back and thank him for the 'extra chances' he afforded me at the time and to share a moment of reflection on what came to be after that. Unlike the fictional Mr. Chips, Arthur Powell managed to have children of his own, with whom he surely had his issues as well, but at times I like to think that I was one of Mr. Powell's 'little people'. Arthur Powell will not be missed, because he will always be with us in our memories. April 17th, 2004 Was at Runnymede from the very first day. A special time in a special place. I am glad to have been a part of it all. It's always a pleasure to hear from anyone who was there at that time. April 15th, 1999 August 14th, 1991 A few weeks ago I was teaching a special course for students coming back from abroad, and one of the girls was from Runnymede. She told me some news, and gave me the address, and I thought that enough water had passed under the bridge. Presently I lecture at Keio and Meiji Universities as well as Yoyogi Seminar (the largest prep school in Japan), besides writing books and running a design company... I look forward to hearing from anyone that I might have know at Runnymede. January 1st, 1973 Member of the first Old Runnymedians' Club |

January 2nd, 2010 March 23rd, 2009 Telef June 12th, 2003 March 15th, 1999 As an old Runnymedian, I've heard through Yael (Oren) that you've got a file of e-mail addresses for old students. You're welcome to put my address on your file. I was wondering if you had any address for Alex Carrillo, or Dawn Sweeting, or Chanda Gehani or Maribel Trachsler? September 24th, 2005 April 13th, 2004 April 5th, 2002 I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me. May 22nd, 1999 I would like to hear from any old runnymedians that might possibly remember me. I was the red-haired smart-aleck American whose father worked for NASA. I would also like to say howdy to Mr. Powell. The 2 years I was at the school are some of my fondest memories. Thanks again! |
